Helping the Tenderloin's young adults get a start in the local tech industry.

Volunteer with Code Tenderloin!

We welcome volunteers with experience training, assisting and mentoring  young seekers to reach their full potential.  This could include resume writing, mock interviews and fine-tuning personal conduct.

We encourage low income young adults in the general Tenderloin / SOMA area to contact us to be considered as candidates for this exciting opportunity.

Initially we are considering candidates ages 18-28. A criminal record will not necessarily disqualify our young adults from being a part of this great opportunity.

Screenings will be done regularly in the Tenderloin. Several area technology companies will be involved in the Code Tenderloin project.

Funding is provided by Tenderloin Walking Tours, a five year old art project started by Del Seymour, a 30 year resident of the Tenderloin.

Tenderloin Walking Tours: Code Tenderloin is a fiscally sponsored project of Independent Arts & Media, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting people and projects that use media and the arts to build community and participation.
